For Churches of Christ, and every church

Your congregation’s own app, bulletin and website.

One place for Sunday’s printed bulletin, your church’s website and an app on every member’s phone, all in your church’s name.

Sunday’s bulletin, done by Thursday.

A 4-page Sunday bulletin and a 2-page midweek one, ready to print. Click any part of the page to change it.

Prayer and Messages, just for your members.

Prayer requests and Groups that only your church’s signed-in members can read. A locked phone never shows the words.

Type it once. It’s in the bulletin, on the website and on every phone.

Enter a gospel meeting one time. It prints in Sunday’s bulletin, shows on your Events page and waits on members’ phones.

Ask Sunday’s servers. They answer from their phone.

Choose Notify servers. Each one gets an email and a notice on their phone, then taps Accept or Sorry, I can’t.

Know who needs a meal, a call or a visit.

Set up Care Meals after a surgery or a new baby. Then plan the elders’ visits on a map, with the shortest round trip.

  • Every church welcome

Three made-up congregations. Each one sees its own name, and only its own.

What we hold to

Made the way a congregation works.

A church office is often one person, a few hours a week. So everything here starts from your people and your week, not from a list of features.

  • The church is the app.

Members see your church’s name, logo and colors, on your church’s own web address. We stay in the background.

  • Type it once.

An event, typed once, shows up in the printed bulletin, on your website and on members’ phones.

  • Paper stays.

We make the printed bulletin, ready to print every week. The phone is there for those who want it, and never forced on anyone.

  • Each congregation is its own.

Walled off from every other church, with its own web address, its own app and its own account for giving Coming in the beta

The bulletin

The bulletin your members already know, ready to print.

Make a 4-page Sunday bulletin and a 2-page midweek one, ready to print. Click any part of the page to change it, and the page redraws as you type. Busy weeks shrink to fit.

  • The sick and the shut-ins, never left off. The Prayer List, Continue to Remember and Our Shut-ins carry over from week to week until you take a name off.
  • Those to Serve, with an answer from each. Fill in who leads singing, who presides at the Table and who serves the Lord’s Supper. Choose Notify servers, and each one answers Accept or Sorry, I can’t from their phone.
  • The Record. Attendance for Bible class and worship, and the week’s contribution, in the place your members look for it.

Prayer and Messages

A prayer list the whole church can keep up with.

Members post a prayer request from their phone, and others tap I prayed. When a request belongs in Sunday’s bulletin, the church office adds it with one click. Nothing reaches print by itself.

  • Gentle on a locked phone. A notice says only “New prayer request · From Ruth.” The words wait inside your church’s app.
  • The office only, when it’s private. A request can go to the whole congregation, or only to the church office and the elders.
  • A Group for each class. Messages for a Bible class, the deacons or the ladies’ class, each read only by its own people. And an Elders Group, private to the elders.

Care Meals and Member Mapping

Meals for a hard week, and a plan for the elders’ visits.

After a new baby, a surgery or a loss, set up Care Meals for the family: meals, rides, visits and errands. Members choose a date in the app and get a reminder a week before, the day before and two hours before.

  • Kept close. The family’s phone number and the notes for helpers show only to those who have signed up for a date.
  • Paper in the foyer, too. Print a sign-up sheet for those who would rather write their name down.
  • A round trip for the elders. Pick the households you mean to visit. Member Mapping puts them on a map and plans the shortest round trip from the church, with directions for up to 25 stops, ready to print.

The Members App and the Directory

Your church’s own app, on every member’s phone.

Members sign in on your church’s website with a link or a 6-digit code sent by email. There’s no password to forget. Then they add it to their phone’s Home Screen, where your church’s icon sits with your church’s name under it.

  • Nothing to find in an app store. Nothing to download, and nothing to update.
  • A Directory that stays in the family. Only signed-in members can open it, and each person chooses what it shows about them. Birthdays show the month and day, never the year.
  • Paper for those who want it. Print the Directory as a booklet, with photos, households A to Z and the year’s birthdays and anniversaries.

The website

A website that keeps itself up to date.

Your church’s whole public website, on your own web address. Change the words right on the page. Service times, leaders, events and sermons fill in from what the office already types.

  • Forms your church makes. A VBS sign-up with room for each child, a fellowship meal count, a visitor card. Answers come by email to the people you choose.
  • Verse of the Day. From the World English Bible or the King James Version, on your site, on members’ Home and by email each morning.
  • Ready before anyone sees it. Build it first on a private address, then publish when you’re ready.

Giving Coming in the beta

Online giving that goes straight to your church.

Gifts go into your church’s own account with Stripe, the payment company we use. We hold no money and take nothing from the contribution. The card company’s own fee still applies.

  • Give once, or every Sunday, by bank or card. A reminder comes the evening before.
  • Members download their own year-end statements.
  • The week’s online total shows beside the contribution in The Record.

Each congregation is its own

No headquarters. Not even ours.

Churches of Christ answer to no one above the congregation, and Above Church is built the same way. Each church is walled off from every other, with its own people, its own web address, its own app and its own account for giving (coming in the beta).

Your name, not ours.

Our name stays out of your members’ app and your website. Church emails close with one small line: “Sent by Cedar Creek Church through Above Church.”

Your people choose.

Each member decides what the Directory shows about them. A prayer request can stay with the church office and the elders.

Your office decides who opens what.

Each person in the office gets only the permissions they need. When a secretary hands the work on, the next one finds everything where it was.

Our story

Built alongside a church office in Franklin, Tennessee.

Above Church was born in a Church of Christ. It grew week by week beside the people who print the bulletin, keep the prayer list and find someone to lead singing. Rhaedge makes it, through a small company called Above Soulutions, LLC, and writes back when you get in touch.

  • Every church welcome. It was born in a Church of Christ, and it’s made for any congregation.
  • Scripture comes only from public-domain text: the World English Bible and the King James Version.

Questions

What churches ask us first.

We’re a small congregation. Is this too much for us?

It was made for a church where one person does the office. The smallest band costs least, and many tools stay off until your church turns them on.

Will our older members be able to use it?

There’s no password and nothing to download from a store. They sign in with a link or a 6-digit code sent by email. And the printed bulletin and a printed Directory booklet are still there for anyone who wants paper.

Who can see our Directory and our prayer requests?

Only your church’s signed-in members. Each person chooses what the Directory shows about them, and a prayer request can go to the church office and the elders only. A locked phone never shows a request’s words.

Does online giving take a cut of our contribution?

Never. Gifts go straight to your church’s own Stripe account, and we take nothing. The card company’s own fee still applies. Giving is coming in the beta.

See every question

See it with your own church in mind.

In a walkthrough we show you around a made-up congregation. Bring your minister, your elders or whoever does the computer work. There’s nothing to set up and nothing to buy.
