Sunday’s bulletin, done by Thursday.
A 4-page Sunday bulletin and a 2-page midweek one, ready to print. The prayer list, the shut-ins, Those to Serve, The Record and the week’s events sit where your members have always looked for them. Click any part of the page to change it.
On Sunday, from one folded sheet of letter paper. Print it yourself, or send the PDF to your printer.
For midweek, on the day your church picks, with Bible classes and the week’s events.
Always one bulletin per Sunday, and every past one kept just as it was printed.
On the page itself
Click any part to change it.
There’s no layout to fight. Click the prayer list, an announcement or a sermon title, and its form opens beside the page. Buttons on the page add a prayer request, an announcement or an event. They never print.
- A new week starts from the last one. The prayer list, announcements, Missions Memo and events carry over by their own dates. Sermons, the article, Those to Serve and The Record start fresh.
- Announcements in your church’s colors. Pick a box color for each one, with a heavier border when it matters.
- Sermons with the speaker, for morning and evening worship, and the week’s reading plan as a seven-day strip.
Page by page
Everything a Church of Christ bulletin carries.
A new church starts from a Church of Christ bulletin: the contribution, the elders and deacons, Bible class and worship twice on Sunday, and a Wednesday night service. Change what your congregation does differently.
Page 1: the front
The date and your church’s logo. Elders, deacons and ministers. The article, with “Run it again” for a favorite. Morning and evening sermons, and the week’s reading plan.
Page 2: prayer and service
The Prayer List, Continue to Remember and Our Shut-ins. Announcements and a note for visitors. Those to Serve and the month’s duties. The Record.
Page 3: the news
Announcements in two columns, each in its own box color, and the Missions Memo with photos of the works you support.
Page 4: the back
Congregational events and the two youth lists under their own names, Times of Services, and the mailing panel.
It fits itself
Busy weeks shrink to fit.
When a week runs long, the parts that change size make their type a little smaller, a quarter point at a time, down to a size people can still read.
- “Only if there’s room.” Mark an announcement that can wait. If the page is full, it drops out, and the desk tells you which one.
- Never a surprise at the printer. If a part still won’t fit, it gets a red outline and the desk says what to shorten.
Those to Serve
Who serves this Sunday, and an answer from each.
Fill in who leads singing, who presides at the Table and who serves the Lord’s Supper. Choose Notify servers, and each one gets an email and a notice on their phone, then answers Accept or Sorry, I can’t.
- Weekly and monthly. Weekly servers hear each week, and the month’s duties once a month.
- Every answer in one place. The office gets an email of each answer, and sees them under each role.
Serving check-in
Before each service, everyone checks in.
When your church turns it on, everyone serving gets a notice and an email before the service, as early as you choose, then a card on their Home: Yes, I’ll be there, or I can’t make it, with a word for the Organizer.
- An Organizer for the month, and a backup. They see who has checked in, who can’t make it and who hasn’t answered yet, with a nudge if someone still hasn’t.
- Fill in, right there. Pick from the people who do that job, longest since they did it first. The office gets an email, and the printed bulletin stays as it was.
- No app, no problem. Someone the app can’t reach is marked No app, and the Organizer ticks them in by hand.
The prayer list
The sick and the shut-ins, kept in view.
The Prayer List, Continue to Remember and Our Shut-ins print under the headings your members know. The list carries over to next week, so no one drops off by accident.
- From a member’s phone to the bulletin, by hand. When a member posts a request in Prayer, the office can add it with one click: “Add to the bulletin’s prayer list.” Nothing reaches print by itself.
- Bulletins stay among members. Past bulletins open in your church’s app for signed-in members only. They’re never public, because they hold the prayer list.
The Record
Attendance and the contribution, in their usual place.
Type last Sunday’s numbers for Bible class, morning and evening worship and Wednesday night, with the contribution, the year to date and the goal. Write “NC” when evening worship or Wednesday night wasn’t counted.
- Opened by the right people. The Treasurer and Counter permissions open The Record, so whoever counts the contribution can type it in.
- Online gifts beside the plate. Once online giving is set up, the week’s online total shows beside the typed contribution. Coming in the beta
Events
Type an event once. It shows up in three places.
A gospel meeting or a fellowship meal, typed once, prints in the bulletin, gets its own page on your website and waits on your members’ phones. Mark one members-only, and only signed-in members see it online.
Midweek, and every week after
The Wednesday bulletin, and every one you’ve printed.
The midweek bulletin fills itself with the week’s events and the term’s Bible classes. Sunday’s announcements carry to Wednesday, unless you take one off.
- Finalize keeps an exact copy as it was printed. If no one clicks it, the bulletin is kept after the Sunday passes.
- Every past bulletin in one list, and in your members’ app for those who missed a Sunday.
- A new secretary finds it all. Give the next person the Bulletins permission, and every week is where it was.
Questions
What secretaries ask about the bulletin.
Can we keep the headings our members know?
The bulletin starts with the headings a Church of Christ bulletin carries: Prayer List, Continue to Remember, Our Shut-ins, Those to Serve, The Record and Times of Services. When you start, send us last Sunday’s bulletin, and we’ll set it up with you.
Can we still print it ourselves?
Yes. It’s a PDF. Print it on the office printer, or send it to whoever prints it now.
Who can change the bulletin?
Only the people your church gives the Bulletins permission. Events and The Record have their own permissions, so a treasurer or a deacon can help with one part without opening the rest.
Is our bulletin on the public website?
No. Bulletins hold the prayer list, so they open only for your signed-in members, in your church’s app. Events, service times and sermons show on your website.
What if a member doesn’t have a smartphone?
The bulletin is still printed, every week. The phone is there for those who want it.
See it with your own church in mind.
In a walkthrough we show you around a made-up congregation. Bring your minister, your elders or whoever does the computer work. There’s nothing to set up and nothing to buy.
Free during the beta. A short form, and we write back within one working day.
