A website for your church that keeps itself up to date.
Your church’s whole public website, on your own web address. Change the words right on the page. Service times, leaders, events and sermons fill in from what the office already types.
On the page itself
Change it right on the page.
Click the words and type. A toolbar floats beside what you’re changing, every change saves itself as you go, and nothing is public until you choose Publish.
- Blocks for a church’s pages: headings, text, pictures, buttons, a banner, a photo gallery, a video, files to download and a form.
- Your look, checked for you. Pick your main and accent colors and a pair of fonts. If a color would be hard to read, the screen says so before you save.
- A menu that makes sense. Add pages and drop-downs. If a page’s address changes, the old one still works.
It fills itself
Typed once in the office, shown on the website.
Service times, with rules like the 5th Sunday in words. Your elders, deacons and ministers. Events, each with its own page. Sermons with the speaker and the video. Your contact details and a map.
Yours
Your web address, your name.
Your own web address
Keep the address you have. The office is shown the records to enter where your domain is kept, and your church’s email stays where it is.
Private until you’re ready
Build it first on a private address that only your signed-in members can open. A checklist ticks itself as the pieces come together.
Your old links still work
List your old site’s addresses, and each one leads to the right new page.
Forms
Forms your church makes for itself.
A VBS sign-up with room for each child, a fellowship meal count, a visitor card. Build it the way you would on paper, put it on any page or beside an event, and the answers come by email to the people you choose.
- Many kinds of questions: short and long answers, dates and times, choices and checkboxes, and a section that repeats for each child.
- Answers kept for you. Read them in Back Office, or download them as a spreadsheet.
- No puzzles for visitors. A quiet bot check helps keep out robots without asking people to pick out pictures.
Verse of the Day
A verse each morning, from the World English Bible or the King James Version.
On your website, on your members’ Home and by email at 6:00 AM in your church’s own time. Use the year’s list, or choose the passage for any day yourself.
Questions
Questions about the website.
Can we keep our web address?
Yes. Your church keeps its own address, and its email stays where it is.
What happens to our old site’s links?
List them under Old links, and each one leads to the right new page.
Do visitors see Above Church on our site?
No. Your site carries your church’s name, logo and colors.
Can we see it before anyone else does?
Yes. It’s built first on a private address that only your signed-in members can open, and it goes public when you say so.
See it with your own church in mind.
In a walkthrough we show you around a made-up congregation. Bring your minister, your elders or whoever does the computer work. There’s nothing to set up and nothing to buy.
Free during the beta. A short form, and we write back within one working day.
